2Cookies

The site sets no cookies for advertising purposes and no cookies that recognise you across several visits or across other websites. That is also why no cookie banner appears.

3Anonymous visit counting

To see which pages are read, the site counts page views with its own counter. It works without a cookie and assigns no identifier to your device or your browser. The IP address is not stored.

The counted page views do not reveal who visited a page. No profile of individual visitors is created.

4Hosting

The website and its server (a Worker) run on Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, USA. Cloudflare processes your IP address on every request in order to deliver the page.

According to its privacy policy, Cloudflare relies on its certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for transfers of personal data from the EEA to the United States. Should it lapse, the standard contractual clauses apply. The Cloudflare data processing addendum also provides for the EU standard contractual clauses for such transfers. 5Space weather data

The server of this site fetches the Kp index, the forecasts and the aurora probability from NOAA SWPC and delivers them with the page. Your browser does not contact NOAA for this.

6External links and affiliate links

The site links to other websites, such as NOAA SWPC. Where it links to tour providers, those links are affiliate links. Only when you click a link do you reach the other website. Their own privacy rules apply there, and cookies can be set there.
